Trans Mountain Expansion Project. TMEP

3-D is currently servicing the TMEP in various phases of construction. We have performed 4-way grid pattern locate sweeps on Spread 1, spread 2, spread 3 and 4a, spread 4b, spread 5a, spread 5b, spread 7 and Reactivation. This requires working with the various contractors awarded the projects. 3-D has provided ground disturbance management services on a few spreads as well. This is a major project and 3-D Line Locating is proud to be of service on such an important project along with our indigenous partners. 

Trans Canada Keystone XL pipeline project c/o Michels Canada

Performed sweeps and staking for construction survey assistance, route planning, crossing inventory, and lay-down areas.  Additionally sweeps and staking were performed for pipeline, post job cleanup.

One-call response.

3-D continues to excel in providing one-call response for many energy companies, utility owners, and private buried facility operators. A few recognizable business names we conduct locates for are Sinopec, ATCO Gas and Pipelines, Fortis, ATCO Electric, EIA, Plains Midstream, Pembina Pipeline, and the list goes on. 

Edmonton International Airport EIA.

Contracted to represent EIA 3-D has successfully conducted one-call locates on behalf of the Airport Authority since 2008. The longevity of this contract is a testament to the processes we utilize and the implementation of our safe work practices. 

Enbridge Northern Gateway

Conducted 4-way grid sweep for geotechnical borehole and borehole access on 60 locations of the proposed Northern Gateway pipeline between Grande Prairie and Edmonton Alberta.

Inter Pipeline Polaris CLX-2

Conducted 7-way grid sweep, tied in locations for preliminary construction, right of way clearing, route assessment and crossing establishment purposes on 70 km of pipeline right of way on behalf of the pipeline owner. The project was located between Bonnyville and Conklin Alberta.

Ground Disturbance

Ground Disturbance and Damage Prevention are a shared responsibility. Ground Disturbance management was provided by 3-D personnel on many projects including Trans Mountain Expansion Project, InterPipeline, Plains Midstream, NWR Wolf Midstream pipeline and more. Successful ground disturbance activities are accomplished by the diligence exhibited by our highly trained experienced GD supervisors and Project Managers.

Shell Quest

Conducted 4-way grid sweep on 80 km of pipeline right of way, preliminary staking, survey assistance, sweeping for grading and construction on the Shell carbon capture pilot project between Redwater and Edmonton Alberta.

Interpipeline FCCL-Cold Lake Air Weapons Range

Conducted 7-way grid on 80 km of pipeline right of way located on the CFB Cold Lake Air Weapons Range on behalf of the pipeline owner.

Inter Pipeline CLX-3

Conducted Survey locates, sweeps, staking, depth profile locates, route assessment, sweeps for brushing, as well as pre-construction sweeps for 285 km of pipeline right of way between Hardisty and La Corey Alberta.

Enbridge Bakken Pipeline

Performed sweeps and staking for construction survey assistance for crossing depth profiles, route planning, crossing inventory, and lay-down areas.  Additionally sweeps and staking were performed for pipeline, post job cleanup.

Plains Midstream Rainbow II

Conducted 4-way grid sweep on 284 km of pipeline right of way.  Performed survey assistance, construction, sweeping and line staking between Edmonton and Nipisi Alberta.
